Kevin J. McKeon (born April 2, 1985 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American film producer and currently holds the title of being the vice president of Mattel Films. McKeon's position requires him to report to Robbie Brenner, head of Mattel Films.[1]

McKeon was born in Boston, Massachusetts.[2]

Education[]

McKeon graduated Emerson College in Boston with a Bachelor of Arts in Film in 2007.[3]

Career[]

Beginnings[]

From April 2007 to February 2008, McKeon served as a development coordinator for Gallant Entertainment. From February 2008 until December 2009 he served as freelance production assistant.

McKeon later served as an executive assistant to Ken Halsband at Relativity Media from January to May 2010 and later served as the executive assistant to Drew Barrymore and Chris Miller while at Flower films from April to December 2010. He later became a production coordinator for Ixtlan, Inc. from April 2011 to July 2012.

From October 2015 to July 2015, McKeon served as the development executive and was involved in the creative production for Relativity Media. From October 2015 to October 2017 he was the vice president of production and development at The Firm's film department.

Following The Firm, he served as a production executive at Unburdened Entertainment from October 2017 to September 2018. Robbie Brenner was a principal at Unburdened Entertainment. Prior to the both of them working their, McKeon served as Brenner's assistant and worked with her during the production of the Oscar-winning film Dallas Buyers Club.

Mattel Films[]

On September 24, 2018, it was announced that McKeon would serve as supervising producer for Mattel Films, working again with Robbie Brenner who was in charge of the division.[1] McKeon serves to shepherd the development of feature film content for Mattel’s brands and other related creative content, and supervise during the production and post-production processes. His role also allows him to cultivate relationships with filmmakers and industry creatives for Mattel Films and its brands.

McKeon's role was later changed to vice president of film production in the same year.
