Daniel Kaluuya (born February 24, 1989 in London, England)[1] is an English actor and writer who is best known for in Jordan Peele's popular horror film Get Out (2017), which garnered him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor. He's also best known to be in Black Panther (2018), Queen & Slim (2019) and Judas and the Black Messiah (2021), with the later earning him an Academy Award.

Kaluuya is announced to produce an upcoming film based on Barney the Dinosaur through his company 59% (in partnership with Mattel Films and Annapurna Pictures). In Kaluuya's 59%, he is producing the film with Rowan Riley and (his rumored girlfriend) Amandla Crichlow.

Having watched Barney & Friends as a child, Kaluuya stated that his reason for wanting to do the film was based on "I Love You", a song that's sung at the end of every Barney episode, and was intrigued with the angle of a premise of when those words 'I love you, you love me. Won’t you say you love me too?’ aren't true. Kaluuya feels that this premise can lead to something unexpected that can be poignant but optimistic.[2][3]
